Embarking on a new digital journey can be both exciting and daunting. The same is true when you decide to migrate your digital home—your email—from one space to another. If you’re moving from the familiar confines of Gmail to the boundless frontier of Space Email, this guide is your compass. Let’s make this transition not just a task, but a quick adventure.
Meet Myles, a pioneer of his own digital world. He’s made the bold decision to join Space Email, but his Gmail account holds years of cherished memories and important correspondence. He’s not leaving them behind; he’s bringing them with him.
Here’s how he does it:
Myles sets up his new Space Email account. Think of this as preparing the new home for his digital life. It’s the first step in creating a new foundation.
He then uses the powerful Thunderbird desktop client as a bridge between his old and new accounts. By adding both his Space Email and Gmail accounts to Thunderbird, he creates a single, unified view of his digital past and future. It’s a meeting of two worlds, ready for a seamless transfer.
This is where the magic happens. Within Thunderbird, Myles simply selects the emails he wishes to carry over from his Gmail account. With a simple, satisfying drag-and-drop motion, he moves them into his new Space Email account. It’s an elegant, almost effortless act of digital relocation.
As the transfer completes, Myles’ old emails now reside in their new home. They are no longer just artifacts of the past; they are part of his new, inspiring future with Space Email. He has successfully migrated, carrying his history with him while stepping into a new era of communication.
This is more than a simple file transfer; it ensures privacy and respect for digital life. By following these simple steps, you too can make the transition to Space Email, bringing with you all that matters, and setting the stage for a new, exciting chapter.
